As a software as a service company, we are continually working on the product, which includes implementing changes responsive to Squarespace updates. These changes are supplied to all active websites (those with a current subscription).

Your SquareKicker code runs super fast as the code is stored in your Squarespace code injection area, rather than an external server. The SquareKicker Extension only runs while in Squarespace admin mode which means it is super lightweight in terms of loading time to your site.

Technically speaking, this means that the only speed impact will be the amount of customization you add to your site similar to any extra custom CSS or JavaScript you add manually. However, all of your SquareKicker code is compiled & minified for speed and performance before it is saved to your site.

When you uninstall SquareKicker, your saved changes are backed up to our server but they will no longer be visible on your live site. You do not have to have an active subscription for your SquareKicker customizations to be visible!

To uninstall, go to your main SK menu in the upper right-hand corner, Account > Uninstall. SquareKicker will do a complete uninstall and remove your SK installation script and SK custom code.

To reinstall, add your unique SK script (from your SK Dashboard) to your footer injection area. SquareKicker will install on your site and all changes from your latest backup will be restored.

Transferring ownership of your Squarespace website does not affect SquareKicker.

Anyone with admin/owner contributor permissions can use SquareKicker if installed on a site with an active subscription.

If the SquareKicker subscription expires or the website is deactivated in a Designer Plan:

• All existing changes remain on the site.

• New changes require an active subscription or reactivation in your plan.

To transfer a SquareKicker website to a client:

• Open your Dashboard and complete the transfer.

• Watch this tutorial for step-by-step instructions if needed.

• The client can reactivate the website with a paid Solo plan or keep it expired until needed.
