Role Description - Web and Digital Content Designer
Reporting to: Hannah Ippolito
Place of Work: SquareKicker Office - 2/10 Tokomaru Place, Stoke
The Web and Digital Content Designer will create visually compelling Squarespace websites and digital content that demonstrate what is possible with SquareKicker. Working alongside our Written Content Producer and Video Producer across marketing, product launches and education, they will turn ideas into polished visual concepts that communicate SquareKicker’s brand values and speak to the needs, workflows and creative ambitions of professional Squarespace designers.
With no client brief or handoff to work around, this role offers the freedom to channel creative energy into exploring ideas, experimenting with new approaches and pushing the boundaries of our products to inspire users with what is possible. This is a hands-on role for someone creative who can take ownership of projects and turn ambitious ideas into engaging, high-quality work.
You will bring strong design judgement, creative curiosity and the ability to turn ideas into polished, engaging work that reflects both SquareKicker’s brand and the perspective of our users. Experience designing in Squarespace would be a significant advantage, but it is not essential. What matters most is a strong understanding of digital design, thoughtful creative decision-making and an enthusiasm for learning what is possible with new tools.
This is an office-based role in Nelson, approximately 30 hours per week. Our working days are Tuesday to Friday, with flexibility around how those hours are structured and hours negotiable for the right candidate.

Key Skills
Experience in digital design and web design
Strong design judgement and attention to detail
The ability to work collaboratively and communicate ideas clearly
A curious, innovative approach to creative problem-solving
The ability to take a project from initial brief through to completion
Confidence working within an established brand while contributing fresh ideas
Experience in Squarespace is an advantage but not essential

Responsibilities
Design and build visually compelling Squarespace website and page examples for tutorials, YouTube content, product demonstrations and campaigns that demonstrate what is creatively possible with Squarespace and SquareKicker.
Create high-quality visual assets for SquareKicker’s website, marketing campaigns, product launches and educational content.
Translate product, marketing and educational ideas into clear, engaging visual concepts.
Take ownership of assigned design projects from initial brief through to final delivery.
Maintain reusable design templates, resources and asset libraries to support efficient and consistent production.
Contribute ideas and creative thinking during project discussions.
Work collaboratively with the Creative team and across the wider company as required.
Work within SquareKicker’s established brand direction to maintain a consistent standard across all visual output.
Stay current with modern design tools and emerging technologies and adapt your workflow as the design landscape evolves.
